Rumplestiltskin

The littlest of theater-goers are invited to come along as Rumplestiltskin spins the tale of his chance encounter with the Princess who convinced a King she could turn straw into gold. Though he offers his help, it comes at quite a cost. Will the Princess be saved? Will she get her Happily Ever After? Will the kids of the kingdom help her best Rumplestiltskin? And maybe- just maybe- when it all ends, our magical storyteller will find redemption through the power of friendship.

Rumplestiltskin (M/F, Any age)

We're seeking someone to bring to life the whimsical and mysterious character of Rumpelstiltskin. Character is akin to the mischievous and enchanting Puck from Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." As an elf-like being, he's both captivating and unpredictable, with a twinkle in his eye and a sly grin on his lips. We're looking for someone who can embody Rumpelstiltskin's cunning intelligence and quick wit, as well as convey his underlying sense of danger. This character spends most of his time out in the audience, interacting with children and families. Improv skills, a flair for the fantastical and a knack for keeping audiences engaged and enthralled are important. Puppeteering skills are a bonus.
